Reconstruction of (Bake) magazine

This is the magazine that I will be using to work my deconstruction off. The reason I have chosen to use this magazine is because I like the way the colors complement each other and I like the layout as it looks clear and professional.

















This is the reconstructed version of the above image. I have kept it very simple with not to many things added as I wanted to focus on just getting the actual layout correct so that I have an idea of what I can do for my magazine.

The first four pages from an original regional magazine (if done as a group task, each member of the group to produce an individual edition of the magazine, following the same house style), together with two of the following three options:a radio advertisement for the magazine;
two hyperlinked pages from the magazine’s website; 
a billboard advertisement for the magazine.

Reflection on AS coursework

This is my AS media coursework. As you can see there is a lot of improvements that could be made. for example is trudged initially with my photoshop skills as I had not used it before. On the front cover the fonts used could have had more aspects to them as they are very similar. In my next set of coursework I will make sure that I use different types of texts to add depth to the page. Also the background could have been different as on all three pages there was a lot of grey which made all of the pictures blend in together. I also think I could improve the quality of the actual layout of the contents page as I do not like the harshness of the boxes and images, I would change the way the boxes were set out. I struggled with the cell lines and the drop caps and where do place them and how to make them stand out on the page. This time I will make sure that I know fully what I am doing and have planned it out fully so that I have a clear idea of how to get the most out of my coursework and the overall look of the work that I create.
